Title
KH.17.O.531
Description
large-sized fragment, on the obverse two seal-impressions: one cylinder seal rolling - Taya's seal - shows three figures within a single line frame bordered by two guilloches and hieroglyphic symbols among them in the field. The cuneiform symbols are between the figure located to the right and the frame. The figure to the left, only partial impression has a gown and wields and axe (war or storm god?), the one in middle, facing him, has a long pleated gown, possibly a peaked tiara (perhaps a female deity). The one to the right has a shorter gown with thickened border and is also holding a stick. He probably wears a peaked cap and he is possibly the representation of the seal's owner - Taya. Below the cylinder seal rolling there is a partial stamp-seal impression made with a ring-seal carved with a hieroglyphic inscription, also mentioning the owner, Taya. The reverse shows very clear traces of wooden texture and of slightly curved surface which may suggest that the sealing was placed on the edge of the lid of a wooden box.
